Charles Lee, MD
Dr. Lee is the founder and President of Polyglot Systems, Inc. Prior to Polyglot, he was involved in several businesses involving medical education and information technology. Dr. Lee is board certified in internal medicine and was a National Library of Medicine Fellow at the Duke/UNC medical informatics program. Dr. Lee received his MD from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and his BS from Kent State University.
Dr. Lee has received numerous awards including the People's Choice Award at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development's InfoTech 2003 for his work at Polyglot. Dr. Lee is also a recipient of the Tibbetts Award (2001) from the U.S. Small Business Administration for his prior work. The prestigious Tibbetts Award is given to small businesses working in research and development to recognize them as "models of excellence" in high technology. In 2007, he was awarded the Health Care Heroes award from the Triangle Business Journal (Raleigh, NC).
Dan Fritsch, PhD
Dan Fritsch is Chief Technology Officer. He has over 20 years of experience in software development and database systems design. Prior to joining Polyglot, he served as chief consultant with his own company and worked as the CTO with several software startup operations. Dr. Fritsch holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
As a graduate student and later as a professor at UNC, Dr. Fritsch was involved with computer vision research in Radiation Oncology treatment planning and delivery under grants sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. With his background in the healthcare environment and his technical expertise, Dan is well-suited to managing Polyglot's challenges as we expand our software portfolio.
Jeff Muto
Jeff Muto is VP, Marketing and Business Development. Jeff is a global marketing strategist with 14 years of experience launching new products, building brand and product awareness, driving revenue growth and improving market positions for both startup and well-established enterprises. His demonstrated strengths include reengineering internal processes to optimize performance, negotiating and building strategic alliances, developing successful go-to-market strategies, creating winning sales strategies and building highly-effective messaging platforms. Mr. Muto has held leadership positions at several of the most successful companies within the technology industry; including HP, Ingram Micro, Oracle, and Quest Software. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Global Marketing from the University of Southern California.
Ruth Proctor, CPA
Ruth Proctor is Controller. She has worked closely with small businesses and start-up organizations for over 20 years. She has over fourteen years direct controllership experience including extensive human resources and financial management experience. In addition, Ms. Proctor has consulted with a variety of organizations including: medical practices, not-for-profit organizations, technology and biotechnology companies, venture capital organizations, and business incubators. Having worked across a broad spectrum of industries, Ms. Proctor has been able to quickly adapt to changing environments and varying client needs. Ms. Proctor earned both her B.A. and Masters of Accounting from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Stuart Schantz
Stuart Schantz has considerable experience in working with start-up and early stage companies, having performed various operations, finance and branding roles. Prior to this more entrepreneurial turn in his career, he worked in finance, purchasing, operations and human resources for several large companies including AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) and United Airlines. Stuart earned a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Fred Fink
Fred Fink spent several years with Booz Allen as head of their health care consulting practice on a nationwide basis, and also with Salomon Brothers within their health care investment banking group. After that, Fred founded and served as CEO of Optical Resources, Inc., a very successful consolidator within the wholesale optical lab field. Most recently he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Hospital Partners of America. Fred earned his BA and MBA degrees from Stanford University.
Teresa Crabtree
Teresa Crabtree is a proven leader in the heath care industry. Ms. Crabtree currently serves as Vice President, Business Development & Sales with Premier Consulting Solutions. Prior to this, Ms. Crabtree served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Hospital Partners of America and, before that, as a Partner with Accenture’s Health & Life Sciences practice. Ms. Crabtree brings extensive knowledge around both healthcare and IT to the Company.
Lawson Rankin
Lawson Rankin is an innovative financial executive with twenty-three years of multi-industry experience, having served as a Chief Financial Officer, Controller, MIS Manager, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer in emerging growth and international companies. His experience includes leveraged buy-outs, private financings, acquisitions, development of business and strategic plans, fast growth/cash strapped situations, contract administration, MIS and human resources administration. He holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a BSBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
