Q.: What is AVA?
A.: AVA is a simplifed, guided software program which helps applicants apply for state health insurance programs using verbal and on-screen prompting in the applicant's native language. By asking basic screening questions, the software intelligently requests information only relevant for the application. The application can then be printed or transmitted electronically to the state for processing.
Q.: Can we use AVA in our state?
A.: Because the application forms and requirements for Medicaid and sCHIP programs vary from state to state, AVA needs to be modified prior to use in states other than Alabama. If you are interested in developing AVA for your state, please contact us.
