AVA (audio visual application) is a new software solution developed by Polyglot Systems, Inc. to enable limited English-proficient people to apply for assistance through state health insurance programs. Initially developed in partnership with the Alabama Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Alabama State Medicaid program, this program uses a simplified interface with voice prompting and on-screen text in foreign languages to guide the applicant through the application. By incorporating intelligent application assistance, the program can assess the appropriate information needed from each applicant to simplify the application process. AVA gathers only relevant information and transmits the application data to each state agency for immediate processing of the application.
